Carol’s personal journey enhances her clinical training, enabling her to come alongside her clients in a supportive relationship of trust, empathy, and compassion to collaboratively navigate the difficult, painful, and broken places of life. She is honored to be invited into the sacred space of her client's story, and works to earn her client's trust as the layers of life are gently peeled back. Carol respects the unique design and potential of each individual as she helps them explore their personal past, and empowers them to discover new ways to live effectively in the present and embrace the possibilities of the future. She welcomes the opportunity to integrate spiritual issues in counseling, if requested. Her clients love "Barney", her adorable mini-goldendoodle, who joins her in sessions as an emotional support animal.
Carol has been in private practice since 2008. She has a B.A. in Christian Education (Wheaton College, IL) and a M.A. in Counseling (Dallas Baptist University.) Prior to becoming an LPC, she devoted many years to Christian ministry, wrote numerous magazine articles, and authored The Single Mom's Devotional (Revell; 2009.) Carol's most favorite "job" was raising her three daughters, who are now adults. Carol remarried in 2012; her blended family includes eight adult daughters, their partners/spouses, and nine precious grandchildren.
